About this site and how a referral works

What Roof Replacement Brisbane is

Roof Replacement Brisbane is a referral website. When you call or send the form, we pass your enquiry to an independent local roofing contractor who covers your part of Greater Brisbane and does the kind of work you need. That contractor inspects the roof, quotes, and if you go ahead, contracts with you directly and carries out the work.

We are not a roofing company, we do not employ roofers, and we do not take payment from you for the work.

What we ask of the contractors we work with

We ask the contractors we work with to hold the licences and insurance the job needs. In Queensland the QBCC licenses roofing contractors, and asbestos removal is regulated by Workplace Health and Safety Queensland. Please ask to see a licence and a certificate of insurance before work starts, and check the licence on the QBCC's online register. That is good practice with any contractor, however you found them.

We also ask that quotes are written and itemised, and that they follow an inspection rather than a guess from a satellite photo.

Why the guides exist

Most people replace a roof once or twice in their lives, usually in a hurry after a storm or a leak that will not stop. The guides on this site are there so you can understand the job before anyone climbs a ladder: what fails on Brisbane roofs, which materials suit the climate, what the rules are, what a fair quote looks like and how the work runs. They are general information, not advice about your particular roof.
